For PvP, I would especially like different types of arenas. Sure, the kind we have now are OK, but I would like something to make it more interesting.

I also think you should get more faction for a Flawless Victory; I have had quite a few and it is kind of annoying when I get the same faction as if it were a normal victory

The casual player should have a chance at earning decent amounts of faction :/

1/4 of the points for losing would seem fair.

And of course skills should be at a tenth or so of their price. I don't mind 1k for runes/mods but skills need to be wayyy lower.

Aside from faction, I'd love to have a tombs based on skill and not luck (koth zergfests and 6 way gankfests, not fun) and a 1v1 HoH where one team must be killed to hold.

As much as a PvP player I am, I don't want a UAS/R. I think the only thing I would want adjusted is the faction reward and/or the prices of the runes, weapon upgrades, and skills (especially the skills, i think they are way overpriced, in comparison of the faction reward).

i'd like to see:
  • last man standing solo PvP
  • fort/castle seiges
  • mixed PvE/PvP missions/arenas
  • 'survivor' PvP (kinda like a fox hunt)
  • a few less open arenas (like catacombs)
  • 'quick builds' (like the f1, f2 weapon system, except with skills and attribute points)
  • get rid of AP renewals completely, allow unlimted changes
  • enemy party list (like a mirrored party screen)
  • dropouts replaced (instantly) by henchmen with same health, AP and skills
  • dragons lair style 'condition' arenas

More playing styles and map types is a must, IMO. But first the bigger problems.

they need to allow players to choose from various modifiers instead of the set few. i'd rather take the 10% all skill recharge/all faster cast than 20/20 on only one skill.

I think asking for the universal unlock will never happen. I think that this system (point costs are free to be discussed) is a good medium for someone who only wants to pvp. I think 1/4th or 1/6th of the winning points for losing sounds like an idea worth looking into for those who want to pvp but don't find that much success.

Instead of beating a dead horse (universal unlock) More innovative pvp posts like this one need to be in this thread. I know you hate unlocking, but once you're unlocked its done forever. Unlocking items keeps more players playing the game than quiting, I guarantee it is a great draw to have people in game. PvE as much as PvP players will keep this game floating, and a giant community.

I want nice action, that's all. So I don't really like all those Capture the flag bullshit, simply killing your enemies is what I want !

I like the idea of being able to lose faction (and for that matter, fame) if you lose a match. Of course this may make it harder to find good groups (since less people would want to group with people they don't know), but some way to decrease these numbers without penalizing gamers for other people's stupidity may be a possibility... just not sure how that would be the case. Maybe if it was just limited to guild battles.

Weezer_Blue: Another thing, to try and start threads that are directed towards either a PvP or PvE person can't possibly happen as you wanted for two reasons:
1)Most people who play this game are interested somewhat in both aspects of this game (just one or the other in varying degrees), so they aren't going to be able to magically compartmentalize how the feel about this single game into nice PvP/PvE packages... this game is more than those two labels for some of us.
2)You had to have known that you would get flames, especially with your thoughtfully-worded initial post. From reading your older posts I tend to think that you wanted the flames, really. The only thing that can make people like you happy is if some game development company consults you before coming out with a new game you may be interested in. I wouldn't bank on that happening.

I'm not a hardcore pvp'r but howbout as a cool little perk... a star or something cool by the person's name or guild representing a champoinship team. You keep it til your defeated. Something that you can walk around in towns, while your PvE grindin' and peoplecan know your guild kicks booty.

I dunno it could be the beer talkin

Maybe I shouldn't have named the thread "what PvP players want", but rather "what players want from PvP", as that is what I meant. This means people that like both equally should post in both. Or even those who like one a lot, and the other only when they get mored with the prior.
